What Kardia is (and is not)
KardiaMobile devices are personal ECG systems cleared to detect certain arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation in supported recordings — they are not a full hospital ECG and they do not detect heart attack.1 AHA public education emphasizes that atrial fibrillation raises stroke risk and warrants clinician-guided care when present.2
What we read
- Heart rate (BPM)
- Kardia Advanced Determination (for example, Normal Sinus Rhythm)
- Recording time and duration when present
What we do not read
Waveform images, QRS interval numbers, and patient identity fields are not used. Your sample may mention QRS only in explanatory chart text — there is usually no numeric QRS duration to import.
After parse
If resting heart rate is empty, the app fills it from the PDF heart rate. Determination appears in plan chips and may add educational watch-outs when the label is not Normal Sinus Rhythm — still not a diagnosis.
